Miami, Friday afternoon, 5pm boarding with my 2 kids. 8pm landing in Las Vegas, checking at the hotel, visit of Las Vegas old town where everything started and where you can still understand why Vegas became Vegas…Diner at the Smashed Pig, an excellent Gastro Pub, located at the end of the famous Fremont street.

Saturday, 9am,  Hoover Dam, and the Grand Canyon !!  Hoover Dam, Damned me!! Place of numerous wouah movies, Superman, Transformers, San Andreas, ….Beside the show it is a great place to visit and an incredible construction built between 1931 and 1935 to supply electricity for the States of Nevada, Arizona and California. Located in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border of the US states of Arizona and Nevada, don’t forget to change the time on your watch, 1h difference 🙂 It is about 40kms out of Las Vegas.

For my Triathletes friends, did you know that the city of Boulder in Nevada was build for the workers of the construction? For the others Boulder is today the city with the most important concentration of Pro triathlete and trainers, a great place to live and train !!

Eagle Point and the Sky Walk, crazy, scary walking path at 4,000 ft above the Colorado River… ticket for speeding…and back to Vegas for the Bellagio Foutains show and a visit to the major hotels, Venetian, Caesar, Cosmopolitan, Wynn and Encore to name a few, diner under the Eiffel Tower, craving for a French Brasserie.

Sunday morning, rising with the sun and after a typical unhealthy breakfast (bacon, ham, sausages, eggs and no fruits), we are on our way to the Death Valley. The pictures speak for themselves….speechless. A must see. The landscape is lunar with high temperature, the highest even registered (56 degrees Celsius, 134F in 1913).

On our way back we had a majestic sunset, and few hours later we were at the airport to board on the red eye straight to school and the office. What a fabulous week end!!

Just do it!!
